Three-fourths of Loyola students plan to return

New Orleans CityBusiness, Nov 30, 2005 by City Business Staff Report

More than 73 percent of the nearly 3,300 Loyola University New Orleans students pre-registered to return to the college this spring, university officials said today. We are encouraged by the strong response from our students. We are particularly delighted that 92.3 percent of our seniors are returning in the spring.

More than 80 percent of our students who responded to our formal enrollment survey have stated they plan to return to the university, said Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Manager Debbie Stieffel. There is plenty of enthusiasm among our students to resume their Loyola education. But we will not know final enrollment numbers until our students return in January. We anticipate the number to increase during the next month. All Loyola faculty and staff returned to work Tuesday. Students will be able to move back into their dormitories Jan. 4. Classes begin Jan. 9.
