World Trade Center event in New Orleans to discuss Carribbean trade

Anton Edmunds, executive director and CEO of Caribbean-Central American Action, will be the featured speaker at a Friday breakfast briefing at in the World Trade Center.

Edmunds will speak on "Central America and the Caribbean: Sustainability of the Region," with a focus on opportunities and challenges to business. The event will take place on the 29th floor at WTC's board room.

With rising fuel and commodity prices, and the challenges posed by the current financial crisis, the countries of Central America and the Caribbean are facing an array of threats to the sustainability of economic development in the region. Edmunds will address the impact of these issues on regional trade and competitiveness and the effect on key industries such as transportation and tourism, as well as opportunities for business growth.
