FEMA flood map open house in Slidell is rescheduled

An open house to view the new preliminary flood maps for St. Tammany Parish has been rescheduled for noon to 8 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Slidell office of the St. Tammany Parish Permits Department, located at 61134 Military Road.
Representatives from FEMA as well as the St. Tammany Parish Department of Permits will be on hand to answer any questions regarding the maps, which are preliminary and affect several areas within St. Tammany Parish.
Both groups of representatives will be able to help the public in locating and viewing how potential changes in the zones would affect their residences.
