FEMA inspectors to assess St. Tammany Parish homes
New Orleans CityBusiness, Oct 26, 2008 by Reports
St. Tammany Parish officials Friday said FEMA inspectors will be in the parish for the next two weeks to look at damage from hurricanes Gustav and Ike and determine homeowners' eligibility for FEMA's Individual Assistance program.
The inspections are free, and the inspectors will have FEMA identification, the parish said.
Southern portions of the parish will be inspected first, because those regions were hit hardest by the hurricanes.
For more information, call FEMA at (800) 621-FEMA.
