LETTERS; GR story

AdMedia,  Oct 18, 2004  by Mark Graham

Dear Ed:As you can appreciate there is some degree of rivalry between us and our competitor down the road so we were a bit disappointed to be left out of your recent AdMedia magazines review when they were included in the table - especially since we feel we've really got some good news.Grocers' Review has been growing stronger and stronger since its relaunch last year - and it's showing in our ABC figures.

We're 10.20% up in circulation in the last six months to 30 June 2004, and up a whopping 17.92% on the previous 12 months - much better than our direct competitor. In actual fact, GR's story in the last year reflects a stunning turnaround of an 83-year-old trade magazine that's been given a thorough and very contempo "zhooshing up" for the 21st century. It helped us win an MPA Highly Commended Award earlier this year for Best Launch/Relaunch. I understand space constraints and there's always someone who has to be left out but hopefully it won't be our turn next time.Mark GrahamGrocers' Review/ Dow Communicationsmark@dowcom.co.nz
