Panasonic Launches New 2-DIN Portable Hard Drive Car Navigation

Matsushita Electric Industrial introduced October 14 new models in the Strada series of 2-DIN and portable car navigation systems. The CN-HDS930MD, due out November 10, is the industry$BCT(B first 2-DIN all-in-one hard drive car navigation system that comes with a 6.5V- inch wide VGA screen, TV, DVD, MD and CD player units.

The unit also features a 5.1ch built-in decoder, and is priced at 312,900 yen ($2,871). The CN-DS110, a portable model, is also available for a cost of 155,400 yen ($1,426). Shipment is slated for November 1. The company will produce 5,000 units of the CN-HDS930MD and 15,000 units of the portable model per month.
