Mandom Receives Pharmaceutical Approval for New Deodorant Formula

Mandom (TSE: 4917), a Japanese company engaged in manufacturing and distributing hair-care products and cosmetics, has announced that it has received approval for its proprietary deodorant formula from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

The newly-approved formula concomitantly uses triclosan and isoprophyl methylphosphonate, and provides bactericidal and deodorant effects.

Research results regarding this new formula will be presented at the Autumn Symposium of the Society for Antibacterial and Antifungal Agents Japan to be held in Fukui on October 29. Mandom will conduct further research and development for new types of deodorant product.
