JCNN News Summaries - Japan Corporate News Network, Nov 29, 2004 by Dale Hug
Konica Minolta Business Technologies (TSE: 4902) will bring to market two new digital multifunction machines for A0-sized copying, printing and scanning in early December.
The 2060W and 2060W SP are available for 1,200,000 yen ($11,540) and 2,050,000 yen ($19,700), respectively. With a footprint of 1,080x637mm, the compact machines can print or scan two A0 sheets of paper vertically, or four A1-sized horizontal sheets per minute, both at 600dpi.
Digital copying functions include rotation copying, additional copying, and electronic sorting. Both models also support image printing directly from Unix workstations and PCs as well as scanning of images at 150-1,200dpi using a built-n TWAIN-enabled network scanner (2060 needs an optional unit for this function).
The products comply with the International Energy Star Program and other environmental standards. The company is aiming to ship 200 units per year.
