JCNN News Summaries - Japan Corporate News Network, Jan 21, 2005 by Dale Hug
Hitachi Software Engineering (TSE: 9694) will launch on February 1 the piXterra ASP service to provide financial institutions with efficient real estate evaluation by using high-resolution images of their target properties transmitted via the QuickBird, US company DigitalGlobe's satellite.
Those images which are updated biannually for major Japanese metropolitans will be utilized together with maps and land value data digitalized at the Research Center for Property Assessment System, so users can better understand situations around the properties they are interested in while reducing time and work involved in on-site investigation.
The service is available for 20,000 yen ($200) per PC.
