Kyocera Corporation (TSE: 6971) has announced the forthcoming release of the building-integrated photovoltaic (PV) systems in the Japanese and U.S. markets in March 2005.
Mainly targeting newly-built houses, the systems are compatible with flat roof tiles. Flat tiles are one of the roof materials that are increasingly being employed in the Japanese and U.S. newly-built housing markets.
Kyocera will launch the new building-integrated PV systems targeting the flat tile roofing in both countries at the same time. The new systems consist of two modules of different sizes (long and short) to produce "stylish" and "powerful" features.
