Hitachi Communication Technologies and Hitachi Complete Asset

Hitachi Communication Technologies and Hitachi (TSE: 6501) announced on April 25 the closing of their joint acquisition of substantially all of the assets of California firm Salira Optical Network Systems.
The two Hitachi group companies have jointly established subsidiary Salira Systems to hold the assets.
The purpose of this acquisition is to strengthen the respective optical access systems businesses by utilizing Salira's know-how in this field. They plan to drive the global development of business with optical access products.
