Mazda Motor Sets Up New Operations Management Company in China

Tokyo, June 1, 2005 - (JCNN) - On June 1, Mazda Motor (TSE: 7261) announced that Mazda Motor (Shanghai) Business Management & Consulting Co., Ltd., its operations management company in Shanghai, has fully inaugurated the operations.

Capitalized at $7.5 million, the new company will manage Mazda's operations in China.

With the aim of expanding its presence in China, Mazda will establish a framework in which it will be able to manufacture and sell 300,000 units annually by 2010.

In addition, the automaker plans to bring to market the RX-8, a four-door, four-seat, rotary-engined brand-ion sports car, in China this summer.
