Honda Wins World's First Individual Customer for Fuel Cell Vehicle

Tokyo, June 30, 2005 - (JCN) - Honda (TSE: 7267) announced on June 30 that its US subsidiary American Honda Motor has delivered Honda's proprietary hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle FCX to the Spallinos who live in California.

The Spallino family is the world's first private owner of the fuel cell vehicle FCX.

Under a two-year lease contract, the Spallinos is reported to use the FCX in daily activities ranging from commuting and driving their children to school to shopping.

First debuted simultaneously in the US and Japan in December 2002, the Honda FCX has shipped 13 and 6 units in the US and Japan, respectively.
