Tokyo, Aug 22, 2005 - (JCN) - Yahoo! Japan announced on August 22 the launch of Yahoo! Music Sound Station (http:// station.music.yahoo.co.jp/), where users can access 100,000 songs for free. To enjoy the music, users select one program from one of the 35 channels the service offers. Each channel features one to five programs, each of which include 100-300 tunes.

When a program is selected, a dedicated music player is automatically booted up to stream five songs after a 30-second commercial video. Then, another 30-second commercial video is streamed to play five more songs.

The channels cover Japanese Rock, Classic, Jazz, and other genres. The website offers links to online sales sites where users can learn about information on CDs, artists, as well as buy CDs.
