Nihon Medi-Physics Begins Supplying Its PET Radiopharmaceutical FDG

Tokyo, Oct 5, 2005 - (JCN) - Nihon Medi-Physics announced on September 28 that it has begun supplying FDG Scan Injection (fludeoxyglucose F-18), its proprietary radiopharmaceutical for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging, to medical institutions on September 16.

Prior to this move, the company has received manufacturing approval for FDG Scan Injection as of July 25.

The company aims to promote the diffusion of PET in Japan by stably supplying the PET radiopharmaceutical. FDG Scan Injection is the first such agent approved in Japan.
