Tokyo, Oct 25, 2005 - (JCN) - Sony Computer Entertainment (SCEI) announced on October 21 that the Playstation Portable (PSP), a handheld entertainment system, marked an accumulative shipment of 10 million units worldwide (3 million in Asia, 4.47 million in North America, and 2.53 million in Europe) as of October 21.
The PSP was released in Japan and Asian countries in December 2004, in North America in March 2005, and in Europe in September.

Also, by that time, a total of more than 15 million UMDVideo software titles for the PSP were shipped.
