Tokyo, Apr 21, 2006 - (JCN) - Sysmex announced on April 20 that it will introduce the gene amplification detector RD-100i and related reagents in the European market.

The RD-100i analyzer, which is based on the company's proprietary gene amplification method OSNA (One-step Nucleic Acid Amplification), can determine the status of lymph-node metastasis of breast cancer in about 30 minutes during an operation.

The company plans to introduce the same analyzer in Japan and the US in fiscal 2007.
