Tokyo, Aug 28, 2006 - (JCN) - Sony Corporation has announced the upcoming release of the 5.1 series DVD home theater systems with a new automatic sound adjustment function that can adjust the sound system for the best sound accordingly to the positioning of the speakers.
The DAV-DZ110 manages automatic sound adjustment with a monaural microphone set on the listener's position which measures the distance from each speaker's test tone. This enables the right adjustment of volume balance and the output timing of the speakers.
The DAV-LF1H sound adjuster works with a sterero microphone in the listener's position, and adjusts wavelengths to produce optimal quality sound. Both models contain a fully digital S-Master amp. Price is open and both models will be available in Japan from October 10.
