OSCAR-winning actress Jane Fonda is reportedly planning to tie the knot for the fourth time.

The 71-year-old has been dating music producer Richard Perry, 67, for just eight weeks - though they met 25 years ago.

The New York Daily News claimed the couple told friends of their plans over dinner at the home of Barbra Streisand and James Brolin.

Fonda, whose last film was the straight-to-DVD Lindsay Lohan movie Georgia Rule, married her Barbarella director Roger Vadim in 1965.

They had a daughter, Vanessa Vadim, now 40, before divorcing in 1973.

Five days later she married politician Tom Hayden, father of her 36-year-old son Troy Garity.

She met Perry at a fundraising event he organised for Hayden and danced with him.

A year after she and Hayden divorced in 1990 she married media mogul Ted Turner. They divorced in 2001.

Perry has produced hits for artists including Streisand, Art Garfunkel, Carly Simon, Elton John and Ringo Starr.

Fonda said last month that she had "fallen in love" with Perry, whom she met again "a week after my knee replacement surgery in June".

A spokeswoman for Fonda said she was not aware of any wedding plans.
