V7 Unveils New Laptop Security Locks

V7, the exclusive house brand for Ingram Micro and provider of computer accessories, introduced its new line of laptop security locks to the U.S. market.

The V7 Laptop Security Locks offer a way to secure a laptop or desktop PC, monitor or projector with a built-in lock slot. Offered in a combination or keyed option, the security locks feature 5 feet (1.5 meters) of cablemade of galvanized steel wire core with a plastic scratch-resistant jacket for enhanced durability and protection.

"The V7 Laptop Security Locks are the ideal choice for both commercial and consumer applications to help ensure the security of valuable hardware and data," said Robert Forster, director of product marketing for Ingram Micro's Private Label division. The V7 Combination Laptop Security Lock (model # SLC500-8N) features 10,000 personalized combination codes that users can change at any time. The V7 Keyed Laptop Security Lock (model # SLK500-8N) includes two identical keys for convenience. Each lock features a sleek, silver design with black security cable appropriate for workplace or home.

Manufactured by Kensington and featuring its patented computer security lock technology, the V7 locks are compatible with all Kensington Security Slots and fit virtually all notebook computers manufactured.
